This time last week I arrived home from spending four delightful days in LA with my daughter, Nicole, son-in-law Dwight, and granddaughter Niko.
I arrived Thursday afternoon at the newly remodeled Burbank Airport. Much easier than LAX and only about 20 minutes from the kids home. We relaxed that evening and had pizza delivered. Perfect. Friday, Niko of course had school but after a lazy morning we went to the Hollyhock house. It is a Frank Lloyed Wright designed home and is now operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. It was designed and built for an oil heiress, Aline Barnsdall but never lived in. It is worth a visit.
That evening was a delicious dinner at Gwen, a great LA steakhouse. Martini’s, Wine, Oysters, Steaks, Salads, House Potatoes cooked in duck fat and of course Dessert. Scrumptious.

Niko, Soccer Star
Saturday morning was Niko’s soccer game. So much fun and they won. That night, we went to the LA Angel City women’s professional soccer game. A great game and they won. Niko proclaimed that I could root for any baseball or football team of my choosing but the only accpetable soccer team is Angel City. So noted.
Sunday we chilled and Monday it was time to go home. A great few days!
